SPLIT ENZ.

Split Enz combines idiosyncratic melodies with a strong sense of arrangement. The songs can sound playful, theatrical, or subdued, with unexpected twists that still feel logical. Keyboards, guitars, and harmonies give the music various colors. The enjoyment lies in the way a familiar pop idea suddenly takes a different direction.

Second Thoughts offers an entry point into the repertoire. Listening to Split Enz on vinyl makes the album tracks just as important as the recognizable melodies. On a LP, the different moods are given space side by side, ensuring the band is not reduced to a single style and that the details between the larger moments also receive attention.

A rock LP also tells a story through the order of the songs. Give quiet passages just as much space as the bigger outbursts and follow the band's interplay. Among the available vinyl releases, you will find the format and design, so you can choose a suitable record.
