THE SISTERS OF MERCY.

Sisters of Mercy gives dark rock a pronounced rhythmic drive. The low vocals stand against guitars and electronic accents that build a broad environment. A repeated pattern can carry a lot of tension without constantly changing form. The melodies remain recognizable within a sound that leaves room for menace and a sense of distance.

Listening to Sisters of Mercy on vinyl invites you to follow a side of the record as a whole. A LP gives the relationship between rhythm, guitar, and vocals time to reveal its own progression. Also pay attention to the chosen version: singles, longer mixes, and album versions can place different accents within the same recognizable musical world.

A vinyl album gives the songs a fixed order and a tangible place in your collection. Give the lesser-known tracks time as well, and follow the transitions within a side of the record.
