SEF.

Sef makes rap, pop, and electronica collide and work together. His lyrics can start playfully and then pose a sharp question about identity, power, or everyday life. The production supports that fluidity: a rhythm does not merely have to carry a verse but can also change the tone of the story.

Lieve Monsters and Ik Zou Voor Veel Kunnen Sterven Maar Niet Voor Een Vlag demonstrate that a title alone can open up a point of view for Sef. Following his music on vinyl gives the words and musical contrasts time. A LP offers space to hear connections between songs and to listen to the larger story beyond a single punchline.

A vinyl album gives the songs a fixed order and a tangible place in your collection. Give the lesser-known tracks time as well, and follow the transitions within a side of the record.
