New Wave is the Dutch hip-hop collective behind ‘Drank & Drugs’, ‘No Go Zone’, and ‘Zeg Dat Niet’. Ronnie Flex, Lil’ Kleine, Jonna Fraser, Frenna, Bokoesam, Lijpe, and members of SFB brought their voices together on one album.

The power of New Wave op vinyl lies in the interplay: a chorus from one artist receives a subsequent verse from someone else, with a producer keeping everything in motion. The first release appeared in 2015; the record in our catalog is the vinyl edition of 2026.

In the Artist Story of New Wave, you can read how the project originated and which makers were involved. Also explore hip-hop and rap for the musical background. Here, NEW WAVE is about the Dutch collective, not the music genre of the same name.

The music of the artists involved extends beyond this single album. Listen to Ronnie Flex, Jonna Fraser and Blessed II, Lil Kleine or Frenna. Those five records show where individual voices from the New Wave world were moving towards.
