You don't have to immediately understand every West Flemish word to hear that Wannes Cappelle is conveying something essential. The cadence, the hesitation, and the way a melody unfolds already draw you in. With Het Zesde Metaal, language is both meaning and sound.

Cappelle started the band in 2005. On the debut Akattemets from 2008, you hear a songwriter who takes his own environment and colloquial language seriously. The sentences do not need to be translated into more standard Dutch first. It is precisely their local flavor that can accurately capture a feeling.
