CRASH TEST DUMMIES.

Crash Test Dummies combines a strikingly low singing voice with melodies that can be light and agile. The songs contain small rhythmic and harmonic surprises without losing their clarity. An almost solemn sound can stand alongside a strange or everyday observation. That contrast gives the music its own character.

God Shuffled His Feet on vinyl invites you to listen beyond the most recognizable chorus. Hear how the instruments respond to the vocals and how a song can shift from seriousness to playfulness. A complete LP makes that alternation part of a single portrait. The power lies not only in the distinctive vocal timbre, but also in the carefully constructed environment in which it is placed.

A LP gives the music a beginning, a moment of rest when turning over, and an end. Therefore, listen to an entire side of the record. Which passage sticks in your mind when the familiar track is over? It is precisely the smaller transitions that can give an album a different character and reveal why you return to this artist.
