CERRONE.

Cerrone placed the drums front and turned disco into a physical experience that holds up even outside the club.

The Classic Albums + Remixes box set demonstrates how long grooves and short ideas keep driving each other. Start at Classic Albums + Remixes Boxset 2.

The story of Daft Punk draws a line to a later French generation. Disco and French house make that connection musically concrete. Explore DAFT PUNK, disco, and FRENCH HOUSE.

Cerrone allows disco to evolve into a complete sound world. The drums keep the movement tight, while bass, synthesizers, and arrangements tell a longer story. A groove doesn't need to change shape quickly to remain exciting: precisely a small new layer can suddenly open up a passage.

The available vinyl box set offers room to approach albums and remixes as different forms of listening. A regular LP has its own sequence, whereas a remix can highlight one idea longer or rearrange the rhythm. Therefore, take the time for a full side of the record. Listen to what changes in the repetition and check the product page to see which albums and versions the box set actually contains.
