BACK TO THE WHOLE ALBUM.
The album was originally released in 2001. Sony Music and the official band store are now presenting the 25th Anniversary edition. You can already pre-order the Anniversary CD at SJELF.
For us, an anniversary is primarily an invitation to listen again. Not just to the three songs you recognize immediately, but also to the pieces surrounding them. Start with Prison Song and let the tracklist do its work. Which transition do you remember exactly? And where do you notice that you haven't listened to the entire record in a while?
FAMILIARITY CAN BE SURPRISING, TOO.
A well-known chorus pulls you quickly back to a first listen. During a subsequent round, try focusing on the rhythms and the silences in between. You don't have to rediscover a record as if you never knew it. Sometimes it is enough to really hear a single detail again.
That is also the joy of having an album in your own collection: you can return without anyone else choosing the next track for you. An anniversary gives you a date; what you do with it remains up to you.

AN ANNIVERSARY CAN ALSO CORRECT AN ARCHIVE.
In its announcement of the vinyl version, Sony Music describes more than just a new anniversary label. The program refers to the hidden closing track Der Voghormia, with the explanation that it was previously mislabeled as Arto. Such a detail makes a reissue content-wise interesting: not only does the packaging return, but the way an album is described can also change.
The same official vinyl page mentions a separate 7-inch featuring Johnny, previously a bonus track on certain 2001 releases, and an etched flip side. That is part of that specific vinyl package. The button at SJELF refers to an Anniversary CD. Therefore, we do not present the 7-inch, poster, or other vinyl extras as being included with our CD.
RECOGNITION IS ALSO IN THE TRANSITIONS.
With a record featuring such well-known songs, the memory can consist of individual highlights. The reissue offers an opportunity to hear the original cohesion again. A transition between an agitated passage and a melody works differently when you haven't skipped the buildup. The album has more forms than the singles that were taken out of their context.
This is why an anniversary doesn't just have to be a collector's item. Even without buying additional packaging, you can return to the whole album. For those who are looking for a new version, two questions remain side by side: which album do you want to hear, and which physical program actually belongs to this edition?
