URIAH HEEP.

Uriah Heep combines solid rock with a prominent role for keyboards and harmonies. Guitar and organ can reinforce each other or diverge, while the rhythm section keeps the songs moving. The music makes room for compact melodies as well as longer instrumental passages. As a result, a riff gains not only weight but also color and a clear place within the larger structure.

Discovering Uriah Heep on vinyl makes it appealing to follow the album order. A LP gives space to the interplay and allows different dynamic moments to stand side by side. Studio and live releases open up different perspectives on the same repertoire. Also pay attention to the backing vocals and keyboard lines: they determine how a melody detaches itself from a solid band sound.

A vinyl album gives the music a fixed order and a tangible place in your collection. Give the lesser-known pieces time as well, and follow the transitions within a side of the record.
