TRIGGERFINGER.

Triggerfinger plays rock with a rhythm you feel immediately. A riff doesn't have to be complicated when the band knows exactly where the silence needs to fall.

Triggerfinger combines a solid rock sound with rhythmic suppleness and a bluesy feel. Guitar, bass, and drums give each other space, while the vocals lend the songs a distinct personality. A riff can sound heavy without losing its movement. The dynamics arise from the way the band places accents and switches between full and restrained passages.

Listening to a Triggerfinger on vinyl draws attention to the interplay beyond a single riff. A LP allows various moods and arrangements to grow side by side. Also pay attention to the moments when an instrument plays less: the resulting space can give a melody or rhythmic response extra weight and makes the song's build-up more audible.

A vinyl album gives the songs a fixed order and a tangible place in your collection. Give the lesser-known tracks time as well, and follow the transitions within a side of the record.

Triggerfinger lets you hear the band sound up close. Tarmac provides a later entry; together, the records demonstrate how direct their music can remain.

In the Artist Story, you can read more about that interplay. You can follow the guitars further via hard rock and rock.

Black Box Revelation and Brutus give Belgian guitars a different dimension. Balthazar, De Staat and Goose show how broad an energetic band can sound.
