SQUAREPUSHER.

Squarepusher brings together electronic precision and the agility of instrumental playing. Rhythms can become fast and erratic, while a bass line or melody provides stability. The music employs contrasts between sharply programmed details and an almost improvisational flow. Those who listen closely will hear a careful interplay of accents and forms beneath the hustle and bustle.

Discovering Squarepusher on vinyl requires space for both the rhythms and the sound. A LP can shift attention from a striking break to a development that lasts several minutes. The alternation between accessible melodic lines and restless patterns thus finds a place within the broader coherence of an album.

An electronic LP makes repetition part of a longer listening session. Give a side of the record time and listen to shifts in rhythm and sound. The available vinyl editions show the format and design, so you can choose a suitable record for your own collection.
