TROYE SIVAN.

Troye Sivan moves a personal vocal style within electronic pop with a strong focus on rhythm and texture. A song can begin intimately and then open up a larger, danceable space. The melodies remain direct, while vocal layers and subtle production accents tell their own stories. The balance between intimacy and exuberance gives the music its tension.

Discovering Troye Sivan on vinyl gives time to the different moods within an album. A LP leaves the transitions between quieter songs and rhythmic passages intact. Also listen to the backing vocals and the space around the beat: those details determine how a melody remains vulnerable while the production continually builds a broader environment.

A vinyl album gives the songs a fixed order and a tangible place in your collection. Give the lesser-known tracks time as well, and follow the transitions within a side of the record.
