MILEY CYRUS.

Miley Cyrus grew up while the world watched and turned every attempt to capture her into a new direction. Behind the wigs, provocations, and genres, one instrument remained constant: a grainy, powerful voice that sounded older than the surrounding image.

Miley Cyrus gives pop a voice that can sound both raw and direct. She can present a melody on a grand scale and, in the next track, adopt a smaller, more personal approach. Her repertoire moves between electronic pop, rock, and more subdued songwriting. As a result, it is interesting to listen to an album within its own sonic world, rather than comparing all periods to a single well-known hit.

Bangerz, Younger Now, Plastic Hearts, and Endless Summer Vacation offer different entry points into that development. Something Beautiful and the other available titles each find their own place here. On vinyl-LP, you can follow how vocals and production relate to each other: sometimes the rhythm takes precedence, sometimes a guitar or a more stripped-down arrangement gives the voice more space. A complete record makes that variation audible.

With SJELF, the existing Miley Cyrus story remains connected to its own vinyl releases. The routes to Dolly Parton and Stevie Nicks open up other ways to bring together a recognizable voice and strong songs. For each product page, compare the LP edition, the contents, and the corresponding album link.

Miley Cyrus was born in 1992 as Destiny Hope Cyrus in Franklin, Tennessee. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was already a country star; Dolly Parton became her godmother. Music, television, and Nashville were therefore present early on, but that did not mean her path was straightforward. As a child, she was given the nickname Smiley, later shortened to Miley, and officially adopted that name. The combination of family inheritance and free will would continue to define her career: close to country, but never satisfied with a single pre-written role.
